- The giant squid is really fun to play with - if handled right. Merpeople can be a bit more tacky if I've morphed too much though.

- Severus Snape does too give detentions if a Hufflepuff does better than a Slytherin. He may use other excuses for it, but really, how transparent is 'your shoelace is undone'? My shoelaces are so more time than they're tied tight anyway.

- There are good reasons for the Forbidden Forest to be forbidden. Like, very good reasons!

- That said, it's not such a bad place. If you don't mind the risk of ending in the hospital wing afterwards. It's interesting!

- Mme Pomfrey becomes a lot less intimidating when you get the point that she knows what she's doing, sometimes up to level with the best Healers at St. Mungo's.

- Mme Pomfrey stops trying to be as intimidating if you can get her to teach you this and that. Not that she'll let anyone help much with those she's in charge of, of course.

- Even the most bizarre or boring subject can be interesting if I pay enough attention. And I do that.

- Divination is not exactly my most pronounced strength...

- There's no place safer than Hogwarts.

- ... uuuuunless you're hanging down from one of the battlements in the middle of the night.

- She is the most beautiful and elegant and wonderful woman I know. And I most definitely do not just mean her appearance. There's beauty that's way more than skin deep, and never passes - and she has it.

- She believes following her heart is more important than following what anyone else may consider right. She so proved that by leaving home and family, the sisters she loved, the kind of life she had been used to - and marrying my dad.

- She knows that what a person is like, what he does and believes and all that, matters more than what a person was born as. Considering most of the rest of her family, that was probably not an easy persuasion to come to.

- She sees that people aren't perfect - and loves some of us anyway.

- MAYBE she stresses out a bit too easily over things I do... but then, looking back objectively, I've given her plenty of reasons to stress out over.

- To the best of my knowledge, she's never betrayed anybody in any way. I don't think she can.

- She has a perfect taste - in what to wear, what to say, what to do, and how. I wish I had caught on to that and started trying to understand how and learn about it... a lot earlier.

- She is never afraid of saying or doing what she thinks; of standing up for what she believes in, no matter what anyone else will make of it. That said, she picks her battles a lot more carefully, thoughtfully, and sensibly than I ever will.

- She is also the most amazing grandmother in the world, hands down. And I am grateful for that, more than I can say.

- I love her.

1. He was the grumpiest person I have ever met. Yes, more so than Aberforth.

2. He was the person who could stand being made fun of the most that I know. (Trust me, I've tested that.)

3. He was the best Auror in the century.

4. He knew that to try and fail is not a tragedy; but never to try, to ignore the opportunity? Is a grave error.

5. He could see the potential in new recruits, and sort us out with perfect certainty. None of those he praised ever thought of letting him down. Despite temper, forcefullness, sometimes total disregard about the feelings of others, he could inspire us to work harder, and be better. By absolutely unwavering example.

6. Despite his ignoring people's sensitivities (and boy, with a flair all his own!), he honestly cared for the people whom he led. He'd take care of us even when we didn't think it necessary. His estimation on the subject was usually better than ours too.

7. He knew how not to regret past choices.

8. He believed in justice. Being an instrument for justice himself, too, and a strong one at that.

9. The way he saw through people's hearts? Despite popular beliefs, the strongest part of that did NOT come from the magical eye.

10. He was a better man, a greater teacher, a more trusted colleague, than almost any other I know.
